At LandChoices we are always on the lookout for tools that help promote conservation design for subdivisions to preserve clean water, working farmland, wildlife and natural areas on lands where development is inevitable.
Our friends at 10,000 Friends of Minnesota have created a really neat and useful Conservation Design Scorecard (PDF).
From the start, the Scorecard asks “Can we develop land and still protect it?” The short answer is “Yes.” The “bigger” answer is, “Yes, and it’s called Conservation Design.”
Share the Scorecard with your local planners and any land use and land conservation advocates you know by clicking on the “Share” button below. Or simply share it with anyone who loves the outdoors.
