It’s happening again. Two more Boy Scout camps will be sold and developed.
According to the article “Scouts to sell off two outdoor camps“, the Boy Scouts of America has decided to sell the camps to pay off debts.
“National (Boy Scouts of America) has really pushed us the last five years to get rid of all excess properties,” said Robert Fawcett, executive for the council.
The solution is crystal clear: The Boy Scouts need people with sales, marketing, fundraising and business experience. Innovative people who would never think of selling camps to pay off debts.
Shame on you Boy Scouts of America for disposing of irreplaceable camps due to weak marketing, sales and fundraising skills.
